It was World Book Day! One of our favourite days of the year. This year we had such an incredible day jam packed with fantastic activities. 

We all came in an outfit of a character from a book we love. There were some incredible outfits which must have taken a long time to put together (often with the help of our wonderful parents and carers). In each class, we focussed on a book called 'Love is...' written by Sarah Maycock which celebrates love in all forms. Based on this text, we completed a poem written in a similar style called 'Reading is...'. We used our favourite lines from these to make a poster with an illustration. Our fabulous children also brought in cereal boxes which we used to create the front cover and blurb of our favourite books. In addition, we also had a mystery reader quiz which was a lot of fun trying to work out which members of staff read from their favourite books. 

We love World Book Day because we love books. A huge thank you to all involved!
