Our Year 6's have been learning about World War II this term and the impact that it had on the lives of men, women and children. Our immersion day allowed the children to the opportunity to transport themselves back in time and experience some of the challenges that children would have faced during the war. This included evacuating to a bomb shelter, having a rationed lunch and listening to radio broadcasts and stories from the 1940's. We enjoyed delving deeply into what is a fascinating yet terrifying period of British History. We can't wait to see the quality of writing that the children produce
