This week, Emerald Class showcased their drumming skills in our whole school assembly, marking the end of a half-term of Djembe drumming lessons. Over the past few weeks, the children been learning from a visiting teacher from Habs, who has been guiding them through the rhythms and techniques of this traditional African drum. The children performed a range of exciting rhythms, demonstrating their newfound skills and enthusiasm. The assembly was a fantastic celebration of their hard work, with children sharing their experiences and performing both individually and as a group.
