The award is a similar style to the Duke of Edinburgh award system available to Secondary school aged children, and involves completing up to 10 challenges throughout the academic year. These challenges are all easy to complete at home and include:

• Baking / cooking
• First Aid
• Exercise
• Budgeting
• Domestic chores e.g. washing, cleaning
• Mending / repairing
• Computer skills
• Crafting e.g. sewing / knitting

The challenges aim to increase your child’s independence, resilience and confidence through learning important life skills.
