During October, we marked Black History Month by celebrating the achievements of modern Black women who have made a significant impact on the world of sports. In Key Stage assemblies we explored the inspiring journeys of Simone Biles, a gymnastics icon, and tennis star Coco Gauff, highlighting their perseverance and ground-breaking success. Additionally, the students in Years 5 and 6 had the exciting opportunity to attend a virtual author visit with Benjamin Dean, a celebrated Black author, offering them a deeper appreciation for diverse voices in literature.
